The final Parent-Child Bonding Class of the year is always filled with laughter and anticipation. On this special day, the children showcased what they had learned in the past year through games.
Children are like saplings, and when nurtured with dedication by parents, teachers, and volunteers, they will thrive as they grow. Through the Seeds of Hope Meritorious Award, Tzu Chi aims to recognise every child’s growth. It is the organisation’s hope that every child who perseveres in their learning despite adversity receives this warm blessing, giving them the strength to move forward and ultimately transform into a towering tree that shelters others.
Her father’s words, “You may be poor, but never poor in spirit,” set the then-young Chang Nyuk Mui on three lifelong goals and spurred her to cross the Causeway to build a life in Singapore. The path was harsh and tiring, but she pressed on with resolve, and through her selfless love, she shone in her own quiet way.
