Nancy Tan became a nurse in 1975. In 2015, she started devoting herself into palliative care nursing. Although providing hospice care is different from her nursing experience in the past 40 years, her sense of duty and people-oriented approach remain unchanged.
In the process of providing hospice care, she keeps facing separation by death when her patient passes away. In the face of death, she insists in blessing her deceased patients despite enduring the pain of separation in her heart. By serving as a palliative care nurse, Nancy Tan deeply realized that life only exists in between breaths, and so we should seize the present and live every moment to the fullest.
