“Elves Save the Living” children's play inspires both young and old
Goodwill ambassadors from Taiwan’s Tzu Chi University of Science and Technology came to Singapore to perform the children's play “Elves Save the Living”. The play brought out the message of love and care for the living through cute little animal characters and vivid storytelling.
Rabbit: Can I eat it? (No.) But it looks really tasty.
The little rabbit has been poisoned from eating wild fruits and the animals have to travel over the mountains to find an antidote for her.
Oops, it does not look good, there's a forest fire up ahead.
About one and a half hours into the children's play "Elves Save the Living", which was performed by teachers and students from Taiwan's Tzu Chi University of Science and Technology, both adults and children had their own insights after watching the lively performance.
Audience Tong Guo Xuan: Do good things, and good things will return to you (so we have to?) be obedient. I want to learn from the elf because he will tell us the good things.
Audience Saw Chin Shi: I learnt to respect, not to fight, to care for each other and not to give up.
Audience Tee Bee Teng: When mistakes happen, not just with children, we all point the finger at others, so it allows me to reflect that we should not blame others but focus on solving the problem at the moment.
Audience Saw Kean Weng: From this children's play, we can learn a lot, it's good education, we need to lean towards a more vegetarian diet.
Count me in when doing good deeds; count me out when doing bad deeds.
With the audience being able to obtain inspiration from the story, it is the best reward for the performing team.
